GigRdy looks beyond job titles. Our matching process considers a person’s skills, relevant experience, work history, project requirements, availability, and other relevant factors such as location. You can review your top matches, see why they fit, and decide who is right for your project.
Can I find someone who's available today?
That’s the idea. GigRdy’s Available feature helps you identify people who have indicated they’re ready to be considered for work. Filter for your project needs, review relevant matches, and connect with people who may be ready to start today. Availability and start times depend on each person’s circumstances.
What happens after I select someone?
Once you choose a worker, you move into the offer and contract process. Both sides review and sign the required documents, and the project payment must be completed and cleared in GigRdy’s account before work begins. Once everything is in place, the project can get moving.
Can I use my own contract?
Yes. Employers can upload their own project contracts to GigRdy for signature by the relevant parties. Your project contract is separate from the agreement between you and GigRdy, which governs your use of the platform and its services. All required documents must be signed, and payment must be made in full and cleared in GigRdy’s account before work begins.
When do I pay?
Your project’s payment and the 25% GigRdy service fee are handled as part of the project approval process. All required documents must be signed and payment must be made in full. Funds must clear GigRdy’s account before work starts. The service fee becomes non-refundable after the applicable 24-hour period.
What happens if the project is cancelled?
If a project is cancelled within the applicable 24-hour decision window, the refund process follows GigRdy’s cancellation policy. Refunds generally take 3–5 business days, or longer depending on your bank. If a cancellation occurs while a transaction is pending, a 15% cancellation fee applies to the amount being refunded once the pending funds have cleared. If a worker withdraws, you can choose to replace them or close the project. The applicable cancellation terms determine any refund or payment due.
For people ready to work
Do I have to apply to every project?
No. GigRdy is designed to help connect your skills and experience with relevant opportunities, without requiring you to start from scratch with every project. Build your profile, keep your availability up to date, and review opportunities that fit. You remain in control of the projects you choose to pursue.
What does “Available” actually mean?
Available means you’re signaling that you’re ready to be considered for work. When you turn it on, GigRdy can take your skills, experience, preferences, and availability into account when matching you with projects. It’s your way of saying, “I’m ready for what’s next.”
Can I turn Available off?
Yes. You control your availability and can turn it off when you’re working, taking a break, or simply not looking for your next project. Keeping your status current helps GigRdy make more relevant matches.
How does GigRdy identify my skills?
GigRdy looks beyond the job titles on your résumé. Your profile, résumé, work history, and other information you provide can help identify skills, experience, and relevant evidence of what you know how to do. The goal is to recognize the value behind your experience—not just the words on your résumé.
Can my experience transfer into another industry?
Absolutely. Skills you’ve developed in one industry can be valuable in another. Coordinating an event can demonstrate project management, logistics, communication, and problem-solving. Editing video can demonstrate storytelling, organization, quality control, and technical skills. GigRdy helps surface these connections so you can be considered for opportunities you might not have thought to pursue.
When do I get paid?
Payment depends on the terms of your accepted project and the time or milestones you complete. GigRdy’s workflow records project progress and completion so payment can be handled according to the agreed terms. Payment timing may depend on the project’s approval, the funds clearing, and the applicable payment-processing or bank schedule.
